House bill No. 110, "An act to define the eastern boundary of Greenwood county," being under consideration, Senator Eskridge moved to re-refer the bill to the Committee on Counties and Towns, Which motion prevailed.

The following message from the House of Representatives was received and read:

MR. PRESIDENT-I am instructed by the House of Representatives to inform the Senate that the House has adopted House concurrent resolution No. 30, concerning school laws, in which the concurrence of the Senate is respectfully requested.

The House has concurred in Senate amendments to House bill No. 64.

Also, has passed Senate bill No. 58, "An act to authorize the county commissioners of Bourbon county to issue bonds for the purpose of completing and building bridges," with two amendments, in which the concurrence of the Senate is respectfully requested.

Also, the House has passed House bill No. 83, "An act to.establish certain counties in the State of Kansas, and to define the boundaries of the same," on which the action of the Senate is respectfully requested.

House bill No. 83, "An act to establish certain counties in the State of Kansas, and to define the boundaries' of the same," was Read a first time.

By consent, Senator Speer, chairman of the Committee on Education, made the following report:

MR. PRESIDENT-Your committee have had under consideration House bill No. 85, "An act to enable school districts in the State of Kansas to issue bonds, and for other purposes," and direct me to report the same back with amendments, and recommend its passage. S. SPEER,

The Senate went into Committee of the Whole for the consideration of bills on the calendar, Senator Gambell in the chair.

After some time spent therein the committee rose and through their chairman reported that they have had under consideration Senate bill No. 123, "An act for the relief of parties named therein," and recommend its passage.

Also, Senate bill No. 57, "An act to provide for the vacating streets and alleys in towns, villages and cities," and recommend its rejection.

Also, Senate bill No. 124, "An act for the removal of Sheriffs or coroners in certain cases," and recommend its passage!

Also, Senate bill No. 107, "An act to amend 'An act respecting executors and administrators, of their appointment and removal from office,'" and recommend its passage..

Also, Senate bill No. 114, "An act to regulate and fix rates of toll and fare on railroads," and recommend its reference to a special committee....

The report of the Committee of the Whole was received, and. agreed to.

Senate bill No. 123 was ordered engrossed and to a third reading.
