1232 - 29:3/1 DTD Oct. 29: 3/1 - A musical convention will be held in Cleveland on Nov. 1. There will be a great many distinguished singers in attendance; among them are Miss Phelps, a distinguished ballad singer from Rochester, and H. G. S. Whipple of Louisville, Ky.

Four Gentlemen and two Ladies from the old Granite State will give one or more concerts in Cleveland about the first of January.

1259 DTD Mar. 23:2/3 - Professor Norville's new operetta, "The Fairies' Festival and Transformation," will be performed at the Melodeon on Mar. 30 and 31 by 400 young singers. This will be the most beautiful and pleasing entertainment ever offered to a Cleveland audience. Admission will

be 25 cents.

1260 DTD Mar. 31:3/1 - Four hundred children performed in the operetta "The Fairies' Festival and Transformation" at Melodeon hall last evening. Professor Norville deserves great praise for the proficiency and promptness which characterizes his novel choir.

1269 DTD Dec. 9:2/2 In a letter to the editor, Edwin H. Nevin says: "The Plymouth church of this city has received a donation, a piano, from T. Gilbert and Company of Boston. Mr. Gilbert is one of the oldest and largest piano manufacturers in the country. By multiplying his sweettoned pianos, he is increasing greatly the aggregate of human happiness."
