The Clerk announced as the business first in order the question of order raised on the 19th instant, and pending when the House adjourned yesterday.

After debate,

Mr. Maynard, by unanimous consent, moved that the House proceed to vote viva voce again for Speaker.

Pending which,

Mr. Maynard moved the previous question; which was seconded.

When,

On motion of Mr. Reagan, the roll was called, and it appeared that the following named members were absent, viz:
