Resolved, That a copy be furnished to every Legislature now in session in the United States, requesting their favorable consideration of the same.

Engrossed Senate Bill No. 223:

A bill for an act entitled an act to validate and legalize the incorporation of any companies formed or attempted to be formed by certificates of incorporation filed and recorded in conformity with the provisions of the act of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana entitled, an act for the incorporation of manufacturing and mining companies for mechanical, chemical and building purposes, approved May 20, 1852, and the acts amendatory thereof and supplementary thereto, except only that such certificates are subscribed and sworn to instead of being acknowledged by the persons desiring to form the corporation named in each such certificate, and declaring an emergency.

Engrossed Senate Bill No. 223 was read a first time and referred to Committee on Affairs of Indianapolis.

Senate Bill No. 129:

A bill for an act vesting in the Governor the power of appointing all officers of the various State institutions and all administrative State officers whose appointment is now vested in the General Assembly by law; also all Metropolitan State Police Commissioners, excepting the State Librarian and the Custodian of Public Buildings and Property and State House Engineer; giving the Governor power to remove any such officers for cause, repealing all laws in conflict with the provisions of this act, and declaring an emergency.

Engrossed Senate Bill No. 129 was read a first time and referred to the Committee on Benevolent and Scientific Institutions.

House Bill No. 67 was read a second time and orderedengrossed.
