AN ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of any county holding in trust the property of any agricultural society organized under any law of the state, to purchase and acquire all or any part of the beneficial interest of such agricultural society in such property or any part thereof so held in trust, and to have and hold such property in fee.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

SECTION 1. AN ACT to make appropriations for the executive office, for the fiscal years ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twentyeight, and June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-nine, for maintenance and operation.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

AN ACT to make appropriations for the circuit judges of Michigan, and the judge of the superior court of the city of Grand Rapids, for the fiscal years ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-eight, and June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-nine, for maintenance and operation.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the general fund for the circuit judges of Michigan, and the judge of the superior court of the city of Grand Rapids, for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-eight, the sum of three hundred thirty-six thousand six hundred dollars, and for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-nine, the sum of three hundred thirty-six thousand six hundred dollars, for the purposes and in the specific amounts as follows:

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the general fund for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-seven, the sum of six thousand dollars to defray the expenses of the reunion of the Grand Army of the Republic, to be held in Benton Harbor in nineteen hundred twenty

seven.

Expenditure. SEC. 2. The state administrative board shall determine the times when and the amounts thereof which the condition of the general fund of the state will warrant making expendi tures therefrom against the appropriations herein authorized. This act is ordered to take immediate effect. Approved April 2, 1927.

AN ACT to make an appropriation to defray the expenses of the reunion of the National Grand Army of the Republic.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the general fund for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-eight, the sum of ten thousand dollars to defray the expenses of the reunion of the National Grand Army of the Republic, to be held in Grand Rapids in nineteen hundred twenty-eight.

SEC. 2. The state administrative board shall determine the times when and the amounts thereof which the condition of the general fund of the state will warrant making expenditures therefrom against the appropriations herein authorized. Approved April 2, 1927.

AN ACT to provide for the protection and legal employment of minors between the ages of sixteen and eighteen years.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

Any minor over sixteen and under eighteen Who years of age engaged in an occupation approved by the depart employed. ment of labor and industry as required by section eleven of act number two hundred eighty-five of the public acts of nineteen hundred nine, as amended, shall, within the meaning of said act, be considered to be legally employed, and shall in all cases be subject to act number ten of the public acts of nineteen hundred twelve (extra session), as amended, known as the workmen's compensation law, provided that the employer has filed the required permit or certificate for said minor.

AN ACT to amend section thirty-five of act number two hundred eighty-five, public acts nineteen hundred nine, entitled "An act to provide for the creation of a department of labor; to prescribe its powers and duties; to regulate the employment of labor; to make an appropriation for the maintenance of such department, and to prescribe penalties for the violation of this act," as amended by act number one hundred ninety-one, public acts nineteen hundred eleven, and act number two hundred sixteen, public acts nineteen hundred fifteen, being section five thousand three hundred fifty-six, compiled laws of nineteen hundred fifteen, as amended by act number two hundred six, public acts nineteen hundred twenty-three, and to add a new section to said act to stand as section thirty-five a.
