Exploring for minerals, proving and opening mines on the
lands of the company in the State of Pennsylvania, either
themselves, their agents or lessees so that the coal, iron ore
or other minerals found on or under the surface thereof
may be mined, prepared and transported to market; to erect
and conduct all proper machinery, appliances and improve-
ments necessary and convenient for the purposes of the
corporation or in the conduct of its business, with the right
of leasing said lands when deemed advisable by the board
of directors, and to acquire all the rights, privileges, im-
munities and powers conferred upon corporations men-
tioned in section 39 of said act of Assembly, approved the
29th day of April, A. D. 1874, and the supplements thereto.

Manufacturing iron or steel, or both, and any other metal and any article of commerce from metal or wood, or both.

Enabling the members thereof to become owners of lots of
ground on which to erect houses by paying monthly install-
ments, thereby accumulating a fund to purchase one or
more tracts of ground and dividing the same into lots among
the members by sale or other means, and for the purchase
and sale of real estate necessary for the said purposes.

Manufacturing carpets of all kinds.

Accumulating a fund by the contributions of the members
thereof, and to loan the same to them from time to time to
enable them to purchase real estate, build themselves d well-
ing-houses or engage in any legitimate business.

Accumulating a fund by the contributions of the members

The purchase and sale of real estate, and for holding, leasing and selling real estate, etc.

Accumulating a fund by the monthly contributions of the members thereof; to loan the same to them for the purchase of and improving real estate and of safely investing their earnings.

The accumulation of a fund from monthly contributions, fines, premiums on loans and interest on investments for the benefit of the members thereof sufficient to enable the stockholders to build or purchase for themselves or families dwelling-houses or other real estate, as they may deem advantageous, or invest in any legitimate business or for any lawful purpose.

Transacting such business as building and loan associations may lawfully do.

Accumulating a fund from monthly contributions for the benefit of the members thereof, which, increased by careful management, shall enable its members to purchase a homestead or other real estate as they may deem advantageous.

Accumulating a fund from the payment of weekly dues by its members from which loans shall be made to its members to aid them in procuring homes for themselves, and such other business as is by law permitted to such associations.

which shall be louned to the highest bidders among said
members to enable them to purchase a homestead or other
real estate, or for their use and investment in any lawful
Lusiness, and er joying all the rights, powers and privileges
granted by law to building and loan associations.
Accumulating a fund by the contributions of the members
thereof, and to loan the same to them from time to time to
enable them to purchase real estate, build themselves dwell-
ing-houses or engage in any legitimate business.

Obtaining the powers and franchises set forth and contained
in section 37 of the above-mentioned act of Assembly (be-
ing a corporation of the second class) entitled "An act re-
lating to mutual savings fund, building and loan associa-
tions."

Having and exercising such powers as are conferred upon
building g and loan associations by the laws of the aforesaid
Commonwealth.

Doing such business as generally appertains to building and
lcan associations.

Accumulating a fund to promote building and to assist the stockholders individually to purchase real estate, erect buildings and to invest in such manner as they may deem most advantageous, and for the other common benefits incident to building and loan associations. Accumulating a fund by the monthly contributions of its members sufficient to enable them to purchase a homestead or other real estate, or to borrow money for investment in any lawful business. for the purpose to have, possess and enjoy all the rights, benefits and privileges of said act of Assembly. Securing homes and a means of help to the members in their business.

Transaction of a printing and publishing business.

Carrying on the business of transmitting and receiving sig-
nals and messages over wires by the use of electricity; re-
ceiving and delivering messages and such other work as
may be necessary to carry out said purpose.

Supplying light, heat and power by means of electricity to
the public at Frankford, in the county of Philadelphia, and
to persons, partnerships and associations residing therein
and adjacent thereto as may desire the same; also, for the
manufacture, purchase and sale of electrical machinery and
appliances, and all business connected therewith.

Engaging in the manufacture and sale of boots and shoes.

Erecting, establishing and maintaining suitable buildings for a public market-house and an hotel in connection therewith, and doing all things necessary and incidental thereto, with power to rent or dispose of the stalls, rooms and halls that may be contained in said buildings in such a manner as may be to the best interest of the said corporation.

Printing and publishing a newspaper or newspapers, the es-
tablishment and carrying on of a general job printing of-
fice and book-bindery, and the business of general adver-
tising.

Supplying light, heat and power by means of electricity to the public at the borough of Easton, in the county of Northampton, and State of Pennsylvania, and to persons, partnerships and associations residing therein and adjacent thereto as may desire the same.

Manufacturing electricity to supply the same through appropriate conductors within the borough of Slatington, Pennsylvania, for lighting, heating and motive power, and supplying consumers with necessary appliances to utilize the

same.

Buying, selling and leasing of iron and other mineral proper-
ties, and mining and selling the same, and owning such
other property and carrying on such other business as may
be necessary and appropriate to the purposes of the incor-
poration.

Transporting, storing and shipping petroleum from the oil
regions of Butler county, Pennsylvania, to Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, and for that purpose to lay down, construct
and maintain pipes, tubing, tanks, offices and such other
machinery, devices or arrangements as may be necessary.
Carrying on the business of building and repairing buildings
and of manufacturing and dealing in building materials,
with the right to do all things incident thereto.

Carrying on the business of manufacturing, procuring, owning and operating various and different kinds of apparatus and machinery used in producing light, heat or power by electricity, and to establish, put up and run circuits; to use electricity in lighting streets and buildings, or to furnish therefor heat or power and to construct, erect and set up all kinds and character of machinery and supplies used directly or indirectly as a part or in connection with or incidental to an electric plant for the arc or incandescent light, and necessary for the establishment, maintaining and running of such a plant.
