Luzerne, Lycoming, Lebanon, Mercer, McKean, Mifflin,
Monroe, Montgomery, Montour, Northampton, Northum-
berland, Perry, Pike, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Somerset,
Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Venango, Warren,
Washington, Wayne, Westmoreland, Wyoming, York.

Howe township, Forest county, Pennsylvania, and to such
persons, partnerships and corporations residing therein or
adjacent thereto as may desire the same.

Manufacturing and selling textile machinery, mill-shafting
and appurtenances.

The manufacture and sale of steam engines, grain threshers
and separators, iron, steel or both, or of any other metal, or
of any article of commerce from metal or wood, or both.
Carrying on the manufacture and sale of articles wholly or
partially made of glass; and also the manufacture and sale
of boxes of wood used in packing and transporting glass-
ware or in connection therewith.

Manufacturing, sale and application of coverings for steam
boilers, pipes and other heated and also cold surfaces, and
whatever may be necessary to the proper manufacturing of
the same or to the sale or application thereof.

Purchasing and selling improved and unimproved real estate,
or holding, leasing and improving the same, and dividing,
allotting and selling such real estate before or after the
improvement thereof.

Utilizing the water flow from the rain shed of the Schuylkill
Valley in the State of Pennsylvania, the storage and trans-
portation of water, the erection of such reservoir or reser-
voirs as may be lawful or necessary for the purposes of said
company, particularly for the impounding and storage of
water at and above Flat Rock, in the county of Philadel-
phia, and for the exercise and enjoyment of all the rights,
powers and privileges conferred by the corporation act of
1874, and the supplements thereto, upon corporations cre-
ated for the purposes above-named.

The manufacture and sale of printing types, electrotypes,
wood engravings, and all kinds of printing materials and
furnishings, as well as of all tools and machinery used in
the manufacture of the same.

Buying, selling and leasing slate and slate properties, and
quarrying, manufacturing and selling the same, and own-
ing such other property and carrying on such other busi-
ness as may be necessary and appropriate to the purposes
of the incorporation.

Printing and publishing books, engravings, etchings, &c.

Mining and drilling for, producing and selling oil, gas, min-
erals and other valuable volatile substances, buying and
leasing the necessary lands and machinery for said pur-
poses and other business connected therewith.

books, maps and periodicals, stationery and other like arti-
cles, and of printing and book-binding.

The manufacture of iron and steel, or either of them, in all
their branches, forms and combinations, and of all articles
manufactured, made or produced by any process from iron
and steel, or either of them, either in whole or in part.
The production, manufacture and sale of colors and dyes,
mineral oils and of other chemical products, with the right
to erect and maintain such works, buildings, machinery and
apparatus as may be required for such manufacture, and to
own and dispose of the same; and also to own and hold
such real, personal and mixed estate by lease, contract, in
fee or otherwise, as may be necessary for the purposes
aforesaid, and the same to convey.

Creating. purchasing, holding and selling of patent rights for
improved kilns for the burning of bricks and other clay
products and minerals, with the right to issue license for
the same and receive pay therefor.

Establishing and maintaining a ferry across the Allegheny Logan's Ferry Stariver.

Accumulating a fund by the monthly contributions of its mem-
bers to be loaned to its stockholders in accordance with the
provisions of said act of Assembly of April 29, 1874, its va-
rious supplements, especially said act of Assembly, ap-
proved April 10, 1879, and to carry on business of a build-
ing and loan association, with all the rights, powers and
privileges conferred by said various aforementioned acts
and laws made in pursuance thereof.
