Since our first report, bearing date December 31, 1891, one hundred and fourteen miles of road have been finished and put in operation, assessed for taxation at $582,405 00, as follows: Albemarle and Raleigh Extension---- 4.17 miles @ 4,000, 16,680 6.50 miles (a 3,000, 19,500 North Carolina (Caraleigh branch)---- 2.70 miles 114.27 $582,405 The road-bed of the last named is exempt from taxation by law. We increased our former assessment, $405,895, as follows: Norfolk and Western...
