The Revenue for the Quarter shews an Increase in the Customs, Excise, and Land-Tax. In the Stamps, Assessed-Taxes, and Post-Office there is a trifling Deficiency compared with the same Quarter last Year. This will be best seen by the following Abstract of the Years and Quarters therein mentioned : Abstract of the net Produce of the Revenue of Great Britain (exclusive of the Arrears of War Duty on Malt and Property), in the Years and Quarters ended 5th of April, 1821 and 1822. Abstract of the Net Produce in the Year ending 5th January, 1822, and 5th January, 1823, shewing the Increase or Decrease on each Head. The Increase and Decrease on the last Quarter amounts, the first to 44,4361. and the last to 441,41271.; from which latter sum, deducting the former, the decrease on the Quarter is 396,9761. T 2. The subsequent State of the Revenue of the United Kingdom for the last Four Years is deserving of record.
