The Senate bill (No. 34, Int. No. 35) entitled "An act to amend the Judiciary Law to conform to the State Departments Law, in relation to the expense to be borne by the State in certain criminal prosecutions, was read the third time.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to the final passage of said bill, the same having been printed and upon the desks of the members in its final form for three calendar legislative days, and it was decided in the affirmative, a majority of all the Senators elected voting in favor thereof, and three-fifths being present, as follows:

The Senate bill (No. 32, Int. No. 33) entitled "An act to amend the Penal Law to conform to the State Departments Law, in relation to billiard rooms," was read the third time.

(16) Senate (No. 150, Int. No. 150), entitled "An act to amend the Village Law, in relation to the transfer of village funds."

(17) Senate (No. 156, Int. No. 156), entitled "An act to amend the Tax Law, in relation to fees of collector of returned taxes in Wyoming county."

After some time spent therein, the President resumed the chair, and Mr. Baumes, from said committee reported in favor of the passage of the above named bills, which report was agreed to, and said bills ordered to a third reading.

The President presented the report of New York State Roosevelt Memorial, which was laid upon the table and ordered printed. (See Document.)

Mr. Knight moved that the Senate do now adjourn.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative. Whereupon, the Senate adjourned.

The Senate met pursuant to adjournment. Prayer by Rev. John Black.

The journal of January 23d was read and approved.

Mr. Antin introduced a bill (Int. No. 335) entitled "An act to amend the General Municipal Law, in relation to State aid to cities. or counties in which boards of child welfare make allowances," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on finance.

Also, a bill (Int. No. 336) entitled "An act to amend the General Municipal Law, in relation to awarding allowances in the case of incapacity of the mother," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on affairs of cities.

Mr. Evans introduced a bill (Int. No. 337) entitled "An act to amend the Tax Law, in relation to the transfer tax on Federal war risk insurance of veterans," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on taxation and retrenchment.

Mr. A. J. Kennedy introduced a bill (Int. No. 338) entitled "An act to amend the Public Officers Law, in relation to granting to certain veterans leave of absence during the year nineteen hun
