free from rent, etc. Grounds to revert to Park Act of 1862 and the grounds so to be set apart and appropriated to them for the purpose aforesaid, free from rent, assessment or charge whatever therefor, and if the said society shall at any time hereafter for any cause discontinue their said museum of history, antiquities and art, in the said building or on the said grounds, then any building whatever, erected under the provisions of this act, and the said grounds before set apart and appropriated, shall revert to the said Central Park for the general purposes thereof; but the said society shall in such case be permitted to remove therefrom the said museum and all its property other than such building. § 6. The act entitled "An act to improve the Central Park in the city of New York," passed March twentyfifth, eighteen hundred and sixty-two, is hereby repealed, and all resolutions and other acts or evidences of appropriation or setting apart any ground within the limits. of the Central Park, to the said New York Historical Society, heretofore made by the said commissioners of the Central Park by virtue of said act or otherwise, are grounds de- hereby declared to be void and of no effect. Previous setting apart of clared void. § 7. The Legislature may at any time alter, amend or repeal this act. 8. This act shall take effect immediately. Chap. 479. AN ACT to provide for the appointment of an additional number of notaries public in the State of New York. Passed April 29, 1868. The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows: SECTION 1. The Governor is hereby authorized and empowered, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to appoint in and for the city and county of New York, two hundred notaries public, in addition to the number now provided by law, and five additional for each Assembly district in the State. § 2.
