Second Reading of Senate Bill No. 79, entitled “An Act Relating to Trusts."

Referred to the Miscellaneous Committee.

Senator Chillingworth moved that the Vice-President of the Senate appoint a Special Committee to visit the President of the Senate and extend to him the aloha of the Senate and the hope for his speedy recovery. Seconded by Senator Lane and carried. The Vice-President of the Senate appointed the following Committee:

Senators Chillingworth, Dowsett, Smith, Knudsen, Hewitt and Havselden.

At 2:30 o'clock, upon motion of Senator Woods, seconded by Senator Hayselden, the Senate adjourned.

Senator Smith presented the Report (No. 94) of the Judiciary Committee on House B.11 No. 41 as follows:

President of the Senate.

The Judiciary Committee have had under consideration House Bill No. 41, entitled "An Act to amend Section of the Revised Laws in Relation to promulgation of Laws," and recommend its passage.

Section 2 of the Revised Laws provides for the promulgation of laws enacted by the Legislature by publishing the same in newspapers published in Honolulu in the English and Hawaiian Languages. The amendment proposed by the Bill is to require that such laws be published in newspapers in the several Counties.

There does not appear to be any valid reason why such publication should not be made.

Sir: The Judiciary Committee have had under consideration House Bill No. 52, entitled "An Act Relating to Reserved Questions, Amending Sections 1859 and 1863 of the Revised Laws, and we recommend the passage of the Bill.

While the Bill does not recite at length the two sections as amended, the nature and purpose of the amendments are so
