SECOND SESSION,

BEGUN and held at the Council-House, in the city of Detroit, on Monday, the first day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty-seven, agreeably to a resolution of said Council, for the adjournment of the first session thereof and the meeting of the second session, passed the 30th day of Decem ber, 1826.

At 9 o'clock A. M. the following Members of the Council ap peared and took their seats:

The throne of Grace was addressed by the Rev. Mr. Wells.

On motion of Mr. Irwin,

Resolved, That when the Council adjourns this day, it adjourn to

the third Monday of the present month, at 11 o'clock A. M.

On motion of Mr. Bunce,

Resolved, That a committee of two members be appointed to wait upon the Governor of the Territory, and inform him of the day to which the Council had determined to adjourn.
