< On motion of Mr. M'Donell the 19th rule was suspended, and the resolution read a second time, and ordered for a third reading.

The resolution was read a third time, and on motion of Mr. M'Donell passed.

A message was received from the Governor by Mr. Rowland, notifying the Council, that he had this day approved and signed,

An act to amend the act, entitled, an Act to district the Territory of Michigan, and to provide for the election of members of the Legislative Council, approved July 3, 1828, and for other purposes.

An act relative to the townships of Clay and La Salle. An act to authorise the board of Supervisors of the county of Wayne, to build two bridges over the forks of the river Rouge, in the township of Springwells.

An act amendatory to the several laws now in force for assessment and collection of Teritorial taxes.

An act to organize the county of Berrien.

An act to amend the act entitled, an Act for defraying the public and necessary charges in the respective counties in this Territory, and for other purposes.

An act for the relief of Joseph Dozet and Alexis Loranger.

An act to dissolve the marriage contract between Ebenezer Stone and Sally Stone.

An act for the relief or Martha Garlick.

An act for the relief of Clarrissa Remington.

An act for the relief of Lucy Fish.

An act for the relief of David Ward.

An act relative to the County Courts of the counties of Cass, St. Joseph, Berrien, and Kalamazoo.

An act in addition to the several acts concerning the publication of the laws.

An act relative to the township line between the townships of Hamtramk and Springwells.

An act to authorize Edward A. Godfroy to sell and convey certain lands therein mentioned.

An act for the relief of Luson Tousey.
An act for the relief of Delia Alvord.

An act making certain appropriations to be paid out of the Territorial Treasury for the year 1831.

An act to restrict the jurisdiction of the County Courts of the counties of Wayne, Macomb, St. Clair, and Oakland, and for other purposes.

An act relative to proceedings in criminal cases.

An act for the preservation of health, and the removal of nuisances within three miles of the city of Detroit.

An act to amend the act entitled, An act to provide for establishing seats of Justice.'

An act authorising the supervisors of the county of Wayne to grant a certain dicharge to Peter Van Every.

An act for the relief of Benjamin Woodworth and for other purposes.

An act to amend the act for establishing Courts of Probate.

A resolution relative to the publication of proclamations, establishing seats of Justice.

An act relative to the boundary line between Ohio and Michigan.

An act to alter the time provided for the assessment of taxes in the county of Chippewa, and for other purposes. An act to provide for laying out and establishing certain roads.

An act to incorporate the first Presbyterian Church of Mackinac.

An act to provide for the payment of the contingent expenses of the Legislative Council.

A resolution concerning the appointment of commissioners to locate certain seats of Justice.

Messrs. Stockton and Le Roy were on motion, appointed a committee to wait on the Governor and inform him that if he has no further business for the Council, they are ready to adjourn.

Mr. Stockton from the committee reported, that the committee had discharged that duty, and that the Governor informed them that he had no further business to lay before the Council.

On motion of Mr. Lawrence,

Resolved, That the thanks of this Council be presented to the President thereof, for the able, independent, and impartial manner with which he has discharged the duties of the Chair.

Whereupon, the President made his acknowledgement to the Council as follows:

"I beg, Gentlemen, you will individually accept my sincere thanks for the very flattering manner in which you have thought proper to notice my conduct as your presiding officer.

"To have retained your approbation through a long course of legislative proceeding, will be borne in my recollection during life, with the most grateful feelings.

"Permit me, Gentlemen, to take this opportunity to bid you adieu, and to wish you all a safe return to your families and friends."

Mr. Drake moved that the Council adjourn.

The motion prevailing,

The President declared the Council adjourned, sine die.
