the Father, that takest away the sins of the world, have mercy upon us. Thou that takest away the sins of the world, have mercy upon us. Thou that takest away the sins of the world, receive our prayer. Thou that sittest at the right hand of God the Father, have mercy upon us.

For thou only art holy; thou only art the Lord; thou only, O Christ, with the Holy Ghost, art most high in the glory of God the Father. Amen.

WHAT, lingering yet? Even so, for who, O Lord, would leave a king's palace where earthly good things had been ministered unto him, without speaking the words of thankfulness? And shall I, could I leave Thy courts, wherein Thou hast fed me "with the spiritual food of the most precious Body and Blood of Thy Son our Saviour Jesus Christ," without praising

and magnifying Thy glorious name? No, Lord. Therefore, I linger still, and with my fellow guests take up with one heart and soul the words of praise. Angels have taught us the opening words of our praise. They sang them, that joyous, holy company, they sang them first in the Shepherds' hearing, when the Christ was born. Fitting, most fitting are they for us to use in order to bless Thee, and praise Thee, and glorify Thee, for all the mercies which in the Christ we have received from Thee, "O Lord God, heavenly king, God the Father Almighty."

And to Thee also, O Lord Jesus Christ I turn, and with words of prayer;

For words of prayer with praise must ever be, Till in Thy Home, O Christ, I dwell with Thec.

Hear me then, O Saviour, hear me now,

as lingering yet I pray in Thy earthly Temple. Hear me, and have mercy on me and on all. Our Heavenly Home is not yet won. Snares are still around us. The Evil One is ever watching how he most surely may work our fall. How most successfully beguile us from Thee. Keep us therefore, O Lord Jesus, keep us in Faith, not doubting Thy care, but humbled with the sense of our weakness, and watching unto prayer. Keep us in Hope, for Thou art our only Hope of salvation. Keep us in Love, the strong cord that reacheth from Thee in heaven to us on earth: the sustainer that makes all service joyous for Thy sake: the sweet savour that makes our imperfectness of service acceptable to Thee, O Saviour, who with the Holy Ghost, art most high in the glory of God the Father. Amen.

And now the words of prayer are done,
Offered, O Lord, through Thy dear Son.

May I, and all who here have knelt,
Thy lowly undeserving guests,
And in our hearts Thy mercy felt,

Feel now Thy peace within our breasts.

We wait, O Lord, the words which show
Thy gift of peace, Thy peace bestow!

Then the Priest (or Bishop, if he be present) shall let them depart with this Blessing,

THE peace of God, which passeth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God, and of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord: and the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, be amongst you and remain with you always. Amen.
