as lingering yet I pray in Thy earthly Temple. Hear me, and have mercy on me and on all. Our Heavenly Home is not yet won. Snares are still around us. The Evil One is ever watching how he most surely may work our fall. How most successfully beguile us from Thee. Keep us therefore, O Lord Jesus, keep us in Faith, not doubting Thy care, but humbled with the sense of our weakness, and watching unto prayer. Keep us in Hope, for Thou art our only Hope of salvation. Keep us in Love, the strong cord that reacheth from Thee in heaven to us on earth: the sustainer that makes all service joyous for Thy sake: the sweet savour that makes our imperfectness of service acceptable to Thee, O Saviour, who with the Holy Ghost, art most high in the glory of God the Father. Amen.
And now the words of prayer are done,
May I, and all who here have knelt,
Thy lowly undeserving guests, And in our hearts Thy mercy felt,
Feel now Thy peace within our breasts.
We wait, O Lord, the words which show
Then the Priest (or Bishop, if he be present) shall let them depart with this Blessing,
The peace of God, which passeth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God, and of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord : and the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, be amongst you and remain with you always. Amen.
