I such tables in this book, references to text writers are included, but citations at the foot At first meager from necessity, they grow in size and value as later volumes are reached. in this book, the old spelling and punctuation are preserved, nothing being changed siraply for being on archaism. This plan, for lack of settled usage at the time, is found to be impractic aie and here fore in these matters they will follow modern usage in all subsequent books.
