Senator Weer, by consent, introduced Senate bill No. 30, "An act for the creation and regulation of incorporated companies in the State of Kansas."

The President presented the following proposition from Milton W. Reynolds, Esq., proprietor of the Lawrence Daily Journal: TOPEKA, Jan. 13, 1866.

HON. JAMES MCGREW, President of the Senate: SIR-Through you, I desire to submit to the body over which you preside, the following proposition:

I will furnish any number of copies of the Kansas State Journal to members of the Legislature, that may be ordered, for one dollar per copy, during the session of the Legislature.

The Journal shall contain a full report of the proceedings of both Houses, and will be placed upon members' desks upon the arrival of the cars, or mailed to such names as are furnished, from the office in Lawrence.

Senator Grover, chairman of the Committee on Agriculture, made the following reports:

MR. PRESIDENT-Your committee have had under consideration Senate bill No. 19, "An act supplementary to an act entitled 'An act to provide for the regulation of the running at large of swine,'" and instruct me to report the same back to the Senate, and recommend its passage..

The President announced Senators Twiss, Houston and Eskridge as the special committee on that portion of the Governor's message having reference to certain Indian reservations.

On motion of Senator Eskridge,

The resolutions indorsing the administration of President Johnson were referred to a special committee of thrée, consisting of Senators Houston, Eskridge and Manning.
