AND now, O Lord, we offer unto thy Divine Majesty our praise and thanksgiving for mercies again renewed to us. We laid us down and slept; we awaked;* for thou, Lord, sustainedst us. Goodness

and mercy follow us; thy loving-kindness and thy truth are our shield and buckler: Accept, O Lord, our unworthy thanksgivings: Unto thee be glory in thy Church by Christ Jesus, throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.1

OUR Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven: Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us; And lead us not into temptation; But deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, The power and the glory, For ever and Amen.

Saturday Evening.

ALMIGHTY and most merciful Father, by whose gracious providence we have been preserved throughout the week that is past, we beseech thee to bow down thine ear and hear us: Give us grace to worship thee acceptably; and those things which for our unworthiness we dare not, and for our blindness we cannot ask, vouchsafe to give us for the worthiness of thy dear Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

To be repeated by all the family.

We have sinned, O Lord, above the number of the sands of the sea; our transgressions are multiplied; and we are not worthy to behold the height of heaven for the multitude of our iniquities: We have provoked thy wrath, and done evil before thee; we have not done thy will, neither

have we kept thy commandments. Now, therefore, we bow the knee of our hearts, beseeching grace of thee; we humbly beseech thee, forgive us, O Lord, and destroy us not with our iniquities: For thou art the God of them that repent, and in us thou wilt shew all thy goodness; for thou wilt save us that are unworthy, according to thy great mercy. Therefore will we praise thee for ever, all the days of our life."

O Lord, deal not with us after our sins. Ans. Neither reward us according to our iniquities.

O GOD the King of glory, who hast exalted thine only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph unto thy kingdom in heaven; We beseech thee, leave us not comfortless; but send to us thine Holy Ghost to comfort us, and exalt us unto the

same place whither our Saviour Christ is gone before, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen.c

THEE, O our God, and thee alone, and for thine own sake, may we love before all things else; may we desire thee, and long for thee unto the end. Thee only, and for thine own sake, and for nothing but thyself, may we still seek always, and in all things; from the very bottom of our hearts, and from our inmost soul. Grant, most gracious God, that we may love thee ever, and seek thee everywhere, and above all things, in this life present; and at length find thee and hold thee fast for ever, in the life to come. Grant this, for Jesus Christ, his sake. Amen.d
