O GOD, who art of purer eyes than to behold iniquity; enter not into judgment with us. Thou didst remember us in our low estate; thou didst lay help for us on One that was mighty: through whom thou canst be gracious to our iniquities, and remember our sins no more :

Forgive, O Lord, the iniquity of thy servants;

Ans. And cover all their sins.a

Take away all thy wrath:

Ans. Turn thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.*

Turn us, O God of our salvation;

Ans. And cause thine anger toward us

Wilt thou not revive us again?

Ans. That thy people may rejoice in thee.

Shew us thy mercy, O Lord;

ALMIGHTY and most merciful Father, who hast safely brought us to the beginning of this day: Be thou within us, by thy Holy Spirit, to strengthen us against all attacks of our spiritual enemy; be thou round about us, to protect us from all evil: let thine everlasting arms be beneath us, to sustain and support us under every trial and do thou go before us, that all things may be ordered for us by the providence of thy goodness.
