NEW

SCHOOL GEOGRAPHY.

This work has been adopted as a regular text book by the State Board of Education of California, and is already in use in the Public Schools of San Francisco, and is rapidly being introduced into all the best Educational Institutions in the State.

CLARKE'S GEOGRAPHY contains several carefully compiled maps of the Pacific States, and forty pages of descriptive text of the region lying between the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Coast, and is specially adapted for use in the Common Schools of California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico.

The maps and descriptions of Eastern States and Foreign Countries are as full as will be found in other similar works, but they are regarded from a Pacific Coast stand-point.

The highest order of intrinsic merit, aside from the large space devoted to our home geography, has been accorded to this work by the most distinguished educators of California.

The carefully compiled maps of the Pacific Slope, together with the costly illustrations of our noted scenery, would alone entitle the book to the preference of Pacific Teachers.

Teachers are requested to send for circulars, giving a full description of the plan, arrangement, and peculiar features of the work, together with the critical opinions of prominent members of the educational profession.
