In regard to this Report, DIRECTIONS. the utmost punctuality and exactness will be required. It will be accompanied by a general Sanitary Report, to be written on alternate pages of foolscap paper, with a margin of one inch on the left side of each side, and to be folded in four equal folds; in which the medical officer will furnish information respecting all those agencies which may have influenced the sickness and mortality of the troops such as the medical topography of the station; the climate; prevalent diseases in the vicinity; the duty and employment of the troops; the nature of their barrack and hospital accommodations; diet, water, clothing, and general habits of the men as to cleanliness, tem&c. Cases of unusual interest will be reported in detail. Diseases of women and children, if given, must be reported separately. No perance, duplicate of this report is required. NOTE.-Discharges on Surgeon's certificate, and deaths occurring among those of the command not on sick report, will be also reported, but separated from the others by a double line drawn across the page. The remarks will in each case specify the manner in which the disease originated, when it is known. |
