13 Estos tienen un mismo designio, y darán su poder y autoridad á la bestia.

14 Estos batallarán contra el Cordero, y el Cordero los vencerá; porque es el Señor de los señores, y el Rey de los reyes; y los que están con él, son llamados, y elegidos, y fieles.

15 Y él me dice: Las aguas que has visto donde la ramera se sienta, son pueblos, y multitudes, y naciones, y lenguas.

16 Y los diez cuernos que viste sobre la bestia, estos aborrecerán á la ramera, y la harán desolada, y desnuda, y comerán sus carnes, y la quemarán con fuego;

17 Porque Dios ha puesto en sus corazones, que hagan lo que á él place, y que hagan una voluntad, y que den su reino á la bestia, hasta que sean cumplidas las palabras de Dios.

18 Y la muger que has visto, es la grande ciudad que tiene su reino sobre los reyes de la tierra.

CAPITULO XVIII. DESPUES de estas cosas ví otro ángel descender del cielo, teniendo grande poder; y la tierra fué alumbrada de su gloria.

2 Y clamó con fortaleza en alta voz, diciendo: Caida es, caida es Babilonia la grande, y es hecha habitacion de demonios, y guarda de todo espíritu inmundo, y guarda de todas aves sucias, y aborrecibles;

3 Porque todas las naciones han bebido del vino de la ira de su fornicacion, y los reyes de la tierra han fornicado con ella, y los mercaderes de la tierra se han enriquecido de la potencia de sus deleites.

13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. 15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

CHAPTER XVIII.

AND after these things I saw

another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

4 Y of otra voz del cielo, que decia: Salid de ella, pueblo mio, porque no seais participantes de sus pecados, y que no recibais de sus plagas.

6 Tornádle á dar así como ella os ha dado, y pagádle al doble segun sus obras: en el cáliz que ella os dió á beber, dádle á beber doblado.

7 Cuanto ella se ha glorificado, y ha vivido en deleites, tanto le dad de tormento y de pesar; porque dice en su corazon: Yo estoy sentada reina, y no soy viuda, y no veré duelo.

8 Por lo cual en un dia vendrán sus plagas, muerte, y llanto, y hambre, y será quemada con fuego; porque fuerte es el Señor Dios que la juzga.

9 Y llorarla han, y plañirse han sobre ella los reyes de la tierra, los cuales han fornicado con ella, y han vivido en deleites, cuando ellos vieren el humo de su encendimiento,

10 Estando lejos por el temor de su tormento, diciendo: ¡Ay, ay, de aquella gran ciudad de Babilonia, aquella fuerte ciudad; porque en una hora vino tu juicio!

11 Y los mercaderes de la tierra llorarán y se lamentarán sobre ella; porque ninguno compra mas sus mercaderías,

12 La mercadería de oro, y de plata, y de piedras preciosas, y de margaritas, y de tela de lino fino, y de púrpura, y de seda, y de grana, y de toda madera de thya, y de todo vaso de marfil, y de todo vaso de maderas las mas preciosas, y de bronce, y de hierro, y de marmol;

13 Y canela, y olores, y ungüentos, y incienso, y vino, y aceite, y flor de harina, y trigo, y bestias, y de ovejas, y de caba

6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled, fill to her double.

7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:

12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,

13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and

14 Y las frutas del deseo de tu alma se apartaron de tí, y todas las cosas gruesas, y excelentes te han faltado; y de aquí adelante ya no hallarás mas estas

cosas.

15 Los mercaderes de estas cosas que se han enriquecido por ella, se pondrán á lo lejos, por el temor de su tormento, llorando, y lamentando,

16 Y diciendo: ¡Ay, ay de aquella gran ciudad, que estaba vestida de lino fino, y de púrpura, y de grana, y estaba dorada con oro, y adornada de piedras preciosas y de perlas!

17 Porque en una hora han sido desoladas tantas riquezas. Y todo gobernador, y toda compañía que conversa en las naos, y marineros, y todos los que trabajan en la mar, se estuvieron de lejos;

and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.

14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.

15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,

16 And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!

17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,

19 Y echaron polvo sobre sus cabezas, y dieron voces, llorando, y lamentando, diciendo: ¡Ay, ay de aquella gran ciudad, en la cual todos los que tenian naos en la mar, se habian enriquecido por razon de su costosa magnificencia! porque en una sola hora ha sido asolada.

20 Regocíjate sobre ella, cielo, y vosotros santos apóstoles, y profetas; porque Dios os ha vengado en ella.

21 Y un fuerte ángel tomó una piedra como una grande muela de molino, y echóla en la mar, diciendo: Con tanto ímpetu será echada Babilonia, aquella gran ciudad; y no será jamás hallada.

22 Y voz de tañedores de arpas, y de músicos, y tañedores de flautas, y de trompeteros, no será mas oida en tí; y todo artí

19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.

21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no

fice de cualquier oficio que fuere, no será mas hallado en tí; y voz de muela no será mas oida en tí;

23 Y luz de candela no alumbrará mas en tí; y voz de esposo, y de esposa no será mas oida en tí; porque tus mercaderes eran los magnates de la tierra; porque por tus hechicerías todas las naciones fueron engañadas.

24 Y en ella se halló la sangre de profetas, y de santos, y de todos los que han sido matados en la tierra.

CAPITULO XIX. DESPUES de estas cosas,

Yo una gran voz de gran compañía en el cielo, que decia: Haleluia: Salvacion, y gloria, y honra, y poder al Señor nuestro Dios;

2 Porque sus juicios son verdaderos y justos, porque él ha juzgado a la grande ramera que ha corrompido la tierra con su fornicacion, y ha vengado la sangre de sus siervos de la mano de ella.

3 Y otra vez dijeron: Haleluia. Y su humo subió para siempre jamás.

4 Y los veinte y cuatro ancianos, y los cuatro animales se postraron, y adoraron a Dios, que estaba sentado sobre el trono, diciendo: Amen: Haleluia. 5 Y salió una voz del trono, que decia: Load á nuestro Dios todos vosotros sus siervos, y vosotros los que le temeis, así pequeños, como grandes.

6 Y oí como la voz de una gran multitud, y como la voz de muchas aguas, y como la voz de grandes truenos, que decian: Haleluia. Porque el Señor Dios Todopoderoso reina.

7 Gocémonos, y alegrémonos,

craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;

23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon

the earth.

CHAPTER XIX.

ND after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

2 For true and righteous are his judgments; for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

7 Let us be glad and rejoice,

y démosle gloria; porque son venidas las bodas del Cordero, y su muger se ha preparado;

8 Y le ha sido dado que se vista de tela de lino fino, limpio, y resplandeciente; porque el lino fino son las justificaciones de los santos.

9 Y él me dice: Escribe: Bienaventurados los que son llamados á la cena de las bodas del Cordero. Y díceme: Estas palabras de Dios son verdaderas.

10 Y yo me eché á sus piés para adorarle. Y él me dijo: Mira, que no lo hagas: yo soy consiervo tuyo, y de tus hermanos, que tienen el testimonio de Jesus. Adora á Dios; porque el testimonio de Jesus es el espíritu de profecía.

11 Y ví el cielo abierto, y he aquí un caballo blanco; y el que estaba sentado sobre él, era llamado Fiel y Verdadero, y en justicia juzga y guerrea.

12 Y sus ojos eran como llama de fuego, y habia en su cabeza | muchas diademas, y tenia un nombre escrito que ninguno ha conocido, sino el mismo:

13 Y estaba vestido de una ropa teñida en sangre, y su nombre es llamado El Verbo de Dios.

14 Y los ejércitos que están en el cielo le seguian en caballos blancos, vestidos de lino fino, blanco, y limpio.

15 Y de su boca sale una espada aguda para herir con ella á las naciones, y él las regirá con vara de hierro; y él pisa el lagar del vino del furor, y de la ira de Dios Todopoderoso.

16 Y en su vestidura, y en su muslo, tiene un nombre escrito: REY DE REYES, Y SEÑOR DE SEÑORES.

17 Y ví un ángel que estaba de pié en el sol, y clamó con gran

8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

9. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood and his name is called The Word of God.

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations; and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

17 And I saw an angel stay ing in the sun; and he
