Provisions that become obsolete before the revision date stated on the cove of each volume are not carried. Code users may find the text of provisions is effect on a given date in the past by using the appropriate numerical list o sections affected. For the od before January 1, 1964, the user should consul the “List of Sections Affected, 1949-1963" published in a separate volume. Fo the period beginning January 1, 1964, a “List of CFR Sections Affected” is pub lished at the end of each CFR volume.

CFR INDEXES AND TABULAR GUIDES

A subject index to the Code of Federal Regulations which is revised annually as of July 1, is contained in a separate volume entitled CFR INDEX AND FINDING AIDS. This volume contains the Parallel Table of Statutory Authorities and Agency Rules (Table I), and Acts Requiring Publication in the Federal Register (Table III). A list of CFT. Titles, Chapters, and Parts, an alphabetical list of CFR subtitles and chapters, and lists of current and superseded CFR volumes are also included in this volume.

An index to the text of Presidential documents appears at the end of each compilation of Title 3, The President.

The Federal Register Index is issued monthly, quarterly, and annually. This index is based on a consolidation of the “Contents” entries in the daily Federal Register.

A List of CFR Sections Affected (LSA) is published monthly, keyed to the revision dates of the 50 CFR titles.

THIS TITLE

Title 12–BANKS AND BANKING is composed of three volumes. The parts in volumes are arranged in the following order: Parts 1-199, 200-299, and 30 The first volume contains Parts 1-199, the current regulations issued b Comptroller of the Currency (Department of the Treasury). The second v contains Parts 200-299, the current regulations issued by the Federal R System. The third volume contains Part 300 to end, the current regul issued by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Export-Import B: the United States, the Federal Home Loan Bank Board, the Farm Credit Ad tration, the National Credit Union Administration, and the Federal Fina Bank.

Redesignation tables appear in the Finding Aids section of the second and volumes.
