Whereas said Washburn was obliged to mortgage his home to raise the money to refund to the United States, and has been obliged to pay interest on said mortgage note ever since until the present: Therefore,

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Daniel B. Washburn United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to said Daniel B. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to cause to be placed on the pension-roll of the United States, subject to the provisions and limitations thereof, the name of Henry A. King, late private of the Clay County, West Virginia, Independent Scouts. Approved, February 27, 1891.

CHAP. 345.-An act for relief of Mrs. Agnes Findley Halsey, who served as nurse in the late war under the name of Miss Agnes Findley.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Agnes Findley Hal- United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary sexension. of the Interior is hereby authorized and directed to place upon the pension rolls the name of Mrs. Agnes Findley Halsey, who served as a trained nurse from March fourteenth, eighteen hundred and sixtytwo, to April thirtieth, eighteen hundred and sixty-five, at the rate of twelve dollars per month.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Margaret A.Mvers. United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension-roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Margaret A. Myers, and that she be granted a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month. Approved, February 27, 1891.

CHAP. 347.—An act for the relief of Thomas Crawford, of Louisville, Kentucky. February 27, 1801. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the pension Thomas Crawford. now paid, under certificate numbered three thousand nine hundred and twenty, to Thomas Crawford, of Louisville, Kentucky, a soldier in the war between the United States and Mexico, be, and is hereby, increased to the rate of twenty-five dollars per month. CHAP. 348.—An act for the relief of Elizabeth Truax.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary Elizabeth Truax. of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place upon the pension roll the name of Elizabeth Truax, dependent sister of Henry Truax, late a private of Company C, in the Twenty-second Regiment of Indiana Volunteers, and to pay to her the sum twelve dollars per month.

Knopp. of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension-roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Henry H. Knopp, late a member of the Chio Militia, called into active service during the rebellion. Approved, February 27, 1891.

CHAP. 350.-An act granting a pension to Hannah Cummins.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be directed to put on the pension roll the name of Hannah Cummins, widow of William Cummins, late a private in Captain Fordyce's company of Ohio troops in the war of eighteen hundred and twelve, at the rate of thirty dollars per month; the same to be in lieu of pension now being paid to her. United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary

on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the
pension laws, the name of William C. Young, late a private in Cap-
tain N. P. Dodson's company of Colonel William Lindsey's regiment
of Tennessee Volunteers of the Cherokee war of eighteen hundred
and thirty-six to eighteen hundred and thirty-eight, and allow him
a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Mary Morgan Esdon. United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to place on the pension-rolls, at the rate of twelve dollars a month, the name of Mary Morgan Esdon, of Barnet, Vermont, on account of the service in the late war of her six sons, to wit: Andrew J Morgan, service not known by mother; Charles Morgan, Company M, Eleventh Vermont Volunteers; Peter A. (alias George) Morgan, Company I, Seventeenth Vermont Volunteers; William Morgan, Company H, Eighth New Hampshire Volunteers; James Morgan, Company H, Eighth New Hampshire Volunteers, Ezra Morgan, Company H, Eighth New Hampshire Volunteers, but more particu larly on account of the service of Ezra, on whom she was a dependent mother.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension-roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Mrs. Rachel Wright, mother of Charles Wright, late a teamster in the United States Army; said pension to commence from the date of approval of this act, at the rate of twelve dollars per month.

Whistler on the pension rolls, subject to the pension laws of the United States, he being the father of William H. Whist ler, who was a member of Company F, Ninth Regiment United States Infantry."

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary Joel Hendricks. of the Interior be, and he hereby is, directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions of the pension laws, the name of Joel Hendricks, who was enrolled July second, eighteen hundred and thirty-two, in Captain James Orr's company of cavalry of Indiana Militia, in the Black Hawk war, and mustered out of service with said company August twelfth, eighteen hundred and thirty-two, and pay him a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month from the passage of this act.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to place the name of Elizabeth P. Martin, widow of John Martin, a soldier of the war of eighteen hundred and twelve, and pay her a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month from and after the passage of this act.
