Página 72 - No person who heretofore hath been, or hereafter may be, a collector or holder of public moneys, shall have a seat in either House of the General Assembly, until such person shall have accounted for, and paid into the treasury, all sums for which he may be accountable or liable.
Página 73 - that the laws of the several States, except where the Constitution, treaties, or statutes of the United States shall otherwise require or provide, shall be regarded as rules of decision in trials at common law in the courts of the United States, in cases where they apply.
Página 88 - And be it further enacted, That the deposits of the money of the United States, in places in which the said bank and branches thereof may be established, shall be made in said bank or branches thereof, unless the Secretary of the Treasury shall at any time otherwise order and direct ; in which case the Secretary of the Treasury shall immediately lay before Congress, if in session, and if not, immediately after the commencement of the next session, the reasons of such order or direction.
