Mr. Sevier presented the petition of sundry citizens of Barre county, in the State of Missouri, and Washington county, in the Territory of Arkansas, praying for a certain mail route from Washington county to Missouri.

Mr. Sevier presented, the petition of sundry inhabitants of Washington and Hempstead counties, in the Territory of Arkansas, for a mail route from Washington county to Jonesborough.

Mr. Sevier presented the petition of sundry inhabitants of the Territory of Arkansas and State of Missouri, for a mail route through Conway and Pope counties, to intersect the mail route from Little Rock to Fort Gibson. Ordered, That the said several petitions and memorials be referred to the Committee on the Post Office and Post Roads.

Mr. Taliaferro presented the petition of Lucy Alexander and others, of Stafford county, in the State of Virginia, heirs of Doctor Lawrence Brooke, praying for an allowance due to their deceased ancestor, on account of certain prizes captured by the Bon Homme Richard, Capt. Paul Jones, in the revolutionary war, on board of which her said ancestor was surgeon. I Mr. Loyall presented the memorial of sundry warrant officers of the navy, consisting of gunners, carpenters, sail-makers, and boatswains, on the subject of their salaries.

Mr. Loyall presented the memorial of John J. Young, late a lieutenant in the navy, praying pecuniary aid for wounds received by the firing of a gun on board the United States ship Hornet in 1829.

Mr. Hopkins presented the petition of James Cuddy, of Virginia, praying for a pension or compensation as an artificer in the revolutionary war. o Mr. Chilton Allan presented sundry documents in favor of a claim of the heirs of Levi Todd, deceased, for half pay for services of their ancestor during the revolution.

Mr. Mason, of Ohio, presented the petition of John Gregg, of Ohio, only heir of the late John Gregg, deceased, an officer of the revolution, praying for compensation due to his father.

Mr. Ashley presented the petition of Margaret Carter and heirs of Bennet Belew, of Kaskaskia, in the State of Illinois, praying for a grant of four hundred acres of land.

Mr. Ashley presented the petition of Isaac N. Piggott, of Illinois, praying compensation for services of his deceased father, rendered during the revolution.

Mr. Leonard presented the petition of Thomas Park, of the State of Indiana, praying compensation for private property taken for the use of Government during the revolutionary war.

Mr. Hunt presented the petition of Alvert Pawlings, of the State of New York, praying compensation in lands for revolutionary services.

Mr. Gideon Lee presented the memorial of Margaret Cooper and others, heirs of John Campbell, late of the city of New York, praying remuneration for services rendered by the said Campbell during the revolutionary

war.

Mr. Washington presented the petition of the heirs of the late Col. Uriah Forest, of Maryland, deceased, praying for three years' half pay.

Mr. Washington presented the petition of the representatives of Col. John H. Stone, deceased, praying for commutation and bounty land.

Mr. Loyall presented the memorial of William E. Cunningham, of Virginia, relative to compensation for half pay due to his deceased ancestor.
