Mr. Patterson presented a petition of sundry inhabitants of the State of Ohio, praying for the establishment of a mail route from Tiffin to Sandusky. Mr. Hannegan presented a petition of sundry inhabitants of the State of Ohio, praying for the establishment of a post route from Toledo, in Ohio, to Juliet, in Illinois.

Mr. Hannegan presented a petition of sundry inhabitants of Michigan Territory, praying for the establishment of a post route from the town of White Pigeon to Elk Hart.

Mr. May presented a petition of sundry inhabitants of the State of Illinois, for a post route from Carrollton, to intersect the mail route leading from Springfield to Vandalia.

Mr. Lyon presented a petition of sundry inhabitants of the State of Alabama, praying for the establishment of a mail route from Livingston to Washington court-house.

Mr. Lawler presented a petition of sundry inhabitants of the State of Alabama, praying for the establishment of a mail route from Wetumpka to Huntsville.

Mr. Lawler presented a petition of sundry inhabitants of Alabama, praying for the establishment of a mail route from Columbiana to Chambers court-house.

Mr. A. G. Harrison presented a petition of sundry inhabitants of the State of Missouri, praying for a mail route from Jefferson city, Missouri, to Little Rock, Arkansas Territory.

Mr. A. G. Harrison presented a petition of sundry inhabitants of the Territory of Arkansas, praying for a mail route from Fayetteville to the seat of justice in Barry county.

Mr. A. G. Harrison presented a petition of sundry inhabitants of the State of Missouri, praying for a mail route from Fulton to Paris.

Ordered, That the said several petitions and memorials be referred to the Committee on the Post Office and Post Roads.

Mr. Webster presented the petition of John Riley, of Ohio, praying for an amendment of the act passed May 1, 1830, authorizing him to locate one thousand acres of land by legal subdivisions.

Mr. May presented the petition of Michael Thornton, of the State of Illinois, praying relief in relation to his bounty lands, granted him for ser vices rendered during the last war, and which are unfit for cultivation.

Mr. May presented the petitions of James Trumble, and also of Daniel Bush, of Illinois, praying for permission to surrender their military bounty lands, and locate on other land in lieu thereof.

Mr. A. G. Harrison presented the petition of Jeremiah Clay and Nancy his wife, of Missouri, praying for a grant to certain lands, upon the ground that the said Nancy was a settler in the province of Louisiana, in the year 1800.

Mr. Lawler presented the petition of David S. Lipscomb, of the State of Alabama, praying relief, in relation to his entry upon a certain lot of land, through mistake, which was referred to the Committee on Private Land Claims.

Mr. Lawler presented the petition of Amelia Leach, of the State of Alabama, praying for the passage of a special act for her relief, in relation to a certain lot of land, which was referred to the Committee on Private Land Claims.

Mr. Heman Allen presented the petition of Laura Wadsworth, of Vermont, widow of George Wadsworth, praying permission to resume the purchase of certain lands at the foot of the rapids of the Miami river, made by her husband, under the supplementary act of February 25, 1831.

Mr. Hazeltine presented the petition of Simon Wright, of Randolph, in the State of New York, praying permission to locate his bounty land in the State of Illinois, on lands equal to that to which he is entitled in the Territory of Arkansas.

Mr. Crane presented the memorial of sundry citizens of the State of Ohio, praying for a donation of certain lands, for the purpose of erecting thercon, in the county of Wood, a court-house and other public buildings.

Mr. Craue presented the petition of sundry inhabitants of the State of Ohio, praying for the removal of the land office from Lima to Defiance. Mr. Thomson, of Ohio, presented a like petition of sundry other citizens of Ohio.

Mr. Lane presented the petition of sundry inhabitants of the State of Indiana. representing that sundry acts of Congress, relative to western lands, are erroneously construed by the surveyors, and praying relief in the premises.

Mr. Boon presented the petitions of John Fifer and James Calvin, Peter Guthrie, George W. Bennett, John Fletchall, and Benjamin Bennett, of the State of Indiana, praying permission to correct their entries upon certain lots of land.

Mr. May presented a petition of the court and bar of Joe Daviess county in the State of Illinois, praying permission to enter a section of land, enibracing the town of Galena, for county purposes.

Mr. May presented a petition of sundry inhabitants of Laselle county, in the State of Illinois, in behalf of Jane Schemmerhorn and others, whose hus' ands were killed by the Indians, praying for a donation of a section of land to each for their relief.

Mr. Storer presented a petition of the Woodward High School of Cincinnati, praying for a donation of a township of land.

Mr. Reynolds, of Illinois, presented a letter of Joseph McLane, of the State of Illinois, praying for a grant of forty acres of land.

Mr. Lyon presented a petition of James Mills, Constant P. Mills, and Alfred Mills, of the State of Alabama, praying for the pre-emption right to other quarter sections of land, in lieu of those to which they are entitled, under the act of June 19, 1834.

Mr. Chapman presented a petition of John Jeffers, of the State of Alabama, praying that the register of the land office at Huntsville be authorized to issue scrip to him for the amount paid for a certain tract of land forfeited to Government.

Mr. A. G. Harrison presented a petition of sundry citizens of the State of Missouri, praying for the establishment of a new land district at Jefferson city, in the State of Missouri.

Mr. A. G. Harrison also presented a petition of John Wiley and Jefferson Greer, praying remuneration for improvements made upon certain lands sold by Government.

Mr. A. G. Harrison presented a petition of sundry citizens of the State of Missouri, in behalf of Robert Murray, praying for permission to change his entry for certain lands, the said entry being made through mistake.

Mr. Sevier presented the memorial of the General Assembly of the Territory of Arkansas, praying for an increase of the compensation of deputy surveyors of public lands.

Ordered, That the said petitions and memorials be referred to the Committee on the Public Lands.
