If sent to the General Library, accompanied by this slip, 50% of the published price will be credited to the journal, and the amount will be charged to the special appropriation for the purchase of books and periodicals. received account "exchange of review." In this connection it should be stated that the department libraries have the first right to books received on "review" account, and the volumes will be assigned accordingly unless titles are duplicated. In this event, the question will be raised with the departmental adviser and if a duplicate is not desired it may be consigned to the General Library. If the General Library does not care for the duplicate, it shall be referred to the Press, to be disposed of to the best advantage in the interests of the journal. Books received at the General Library without the pink slip will be accounted for as gifts. The routine in either case will be cared for automatically after books are sent to the library.

It is understood that editors have complete control over books received on "review account" and that they may be given away as part or whole payment for a review, or if in the editor's judgment a book is not appropriate for library purposes, it may be returned to the Press to be disposed of in the interests of the journal.
