PROCEEDINGS Thirteenth Annual Meeting CALIFORNIA BAR ASSOCIATION PALACE HOTEL, SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA AUGUST 6 AND 7, 1922. FIRST SESSION. Monday, August 7, 1922, 10 a. m. The Thirteenth Annual Meeting of the California Bar Association was called to order at the ball room of the Palace Hotel, in San Francisco, California, at 10 o'clock a. m., Monday, the 7th day of August, 1922, by the President of the Association, Jeff Paul Chandler, of Los Angeles. THE PRESIDENT: Gentlemen, we are convened in the Thirteenth Annual Meeting of the California Bar Association. We are very fortunate in having a large attendance present at this convention. We have arranged a short program, shorter than usual. Because of the presence of the American Bar Association, we want to complete our work by tomorrow noon and be adjourned. We have published a program of this meeting, but there will be some changes made, and an additional program will be printed which will be distributed at our session this afternoon. As the first number upon the program, I will call upon Mr. Charles S. Cushing to deliver an address of welcome. Mr. Cushing, as you all know, is a resident of the City of San Francisco. (Applause.) |
