The increase in real estate over 1913 is...... $11,146,271,012 438,252,976 $11,584,973,988 485,821,100 $186,460,120 13,376,741 Total assessed value of property exempt from taxation and reported to this Board under section 15 of the tax law is as follows: For the year 1914. $2,377,156,232 2,270,884,737 The Board, for the first time in the history of the State, is able to report to the Legislature at its opening session the assessed value of all property and the amount of exempt property in the State for the current calendar year. The figures show a large increase in the counties outside of the city of New York, the increase in the city of New York for the current year being only a little over $43,000,000. There is also shown an unprecedented condition in an increase of assessed value of personal property over the preceding year. |
