CHRIST is also called "ETERNAL LIFE," because He "gives eternal life," to all those who believe in Him.

44. Q. What are you taught to believe, by these passages of Holy Scripture?

A. In them, as in the second Article of my Faith, I am taught to believe that, JESUS CHRIST is the SON of GOD, ONE WITH HIS FATHER, "GOD BLESSED FOR EVER;" that He came upon earth to save us from our sins, and to show us the only way to heaven, whither He is gone up to make intercession for us; and that, He is made LORD OF ALL, by GOD HIS FATHER.

Therefore, as by God's grace, I verily "believe with the heart," so also "with the mouth" I confess JESUS CHRIST, to be, the ONLY SON OF GOD, OUR LORD.-Rom. x. 9-11.-1 John iv. 15.-1 Cor. xii. 3,
