"But Thou, O LORD, art a GOD full of compassion, and gracious, long-suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth."-Ps. lxxxvi. 15.—Ex, xxxiv 6.-Numb. xiv. 8.-Ps. cxlv. 8.

"He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities; for as the Heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him."-Ps. ciii. 8-18. xxxvi, 5.

And because He chastens us as a father does his children. "Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee."-Deut. viii. 5.-2 Sam. vii. 14.—Prov. iii. 2.-Heb. xii. 5. 6.

Thine, O LORD, is the greatness and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in heaven and in the earth, is Thine; Thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and Thou art exalted as Head above all. Both riches and honour come of Thee, and Thou reignest over all."-1 Chron. xxix. 11.12. God judges the world righteously;
