I find that in most manuals the self-examination is confined to one day-generally Friday-sometimes, however, it is spread over two or three days. Instead of this I have inserted, on each evening, a reference to the forms of Self-Examination; so that it may never be lost sight of; for in particular localities any day named may be a day of business on which so important a part of the preparation would be almost sure to be neglected. 3.
