PREFACE. HE following compilation consists of I. Two forms of self-examination, each of which should at times be used in preparation for receiving the Blessed Sacrament (pp. 1-24). 2. Passages of Holy Scripture containing Eucharistic Teaching, with those Psalms which, by almost universal consent, have been connected more or less with the Eucharist; and a number of Sacramental Prayers and Hymns (pp. 25-66). These, for convenience' sake, have been arranged in the form of a weekly preparation : but it would be well if each one who uses this book were to make his own selection, and put up to Almighty God, most frequently, those |
