PROCEEDINGS.

MR. MATHENY: As Secretary, I have but little to add. There have been no occurrences of note in the history of the Association during the past year, excepting that the membership has been quite largely increased.

PRESIDENT HAMLINE: What will you do with the report?

MR. MATHENY: It has been usual to have a committee appointed to audit the report of the Treasurer, and I will move that a committee be appointed. The motion was car

PRESIDENT HAMLINE: How many do you want on the committee?

MR. MATHENY: Three have been the usual number.

PRESIDENT HAMLINE: Appointed by the Chair?

MR. MATHENY: Yes, sir.

PRESIDENT HAMLINE:

The Chair will appoint Mr. Oren

PRESIDENT HAMLINE: The next order of exercises is the report of the committee on Law Reform, by Judge John Barton Payne.

JUDGE PAYNE: In view of the next number on the program, I would ask that this number be passed for the present.

PRESIDENT HAMLINE: At the suggestion of the chairman. of that committee, its report will be passed. The next order of exercises is a discussion to follow a report on the subject of "The changes in the procedure of the Supreme Court of Illinois necessary to adapt the practice of that Court to the recent act locating it at Springfield." The chairman of the committee to make a report is Judge Moran, who has been detained at home by sickness, but Judge Harker and Mr. Capen of that committee are here, and I will call on Judge Harker to make the report.

JUDGE HARKER: Your Committee, who were directed to report on the changes in procedure of Supreme Court of Illi nois necessary to adapt the practice of that Court to the recent act consolidating it at Springfield, have had the matter under consideration, and respectfully report:
