Dr. A. J. Volck, of German birth, but long a resident of Baltimore, where he died in 1912, was an ardent Southern sympathizer, and a man of much artistic ability, as shown by his drawings. It is much to be regretted that the missing numbers (assuming all were finished) cannot be found: but we are happy to be able to furnish our subscribers with all those known, and at a price about onequarter of the usual market rate for the originals.
