310. The term cotton cloth, or cloth, wherever used in the paragraph of this schedule, unless otherwise specially provided for, shall be hel to include all woven fabrics of cotton in the piece or otherwise, whethe figured, fancy, or plain, the warp and filling threads of which can be counted by unraveling or other practicable means.

311. Cloth, composed of cotton or other vegetable fiber and silk. whether known as silk-striped sleeve linings, silk stripes, or otherwise, of which cotton is the component material of chief value, eight cents per square yard and thirty per centum ad valorem: Provided, That

ཅ༥ སཨས་ མཅམད chiefs or mufflers shall not pay a less rate of duty than forty-fiv centum ad valorem. If such handkerchiefs or mufflers are hemstit or imitation hemstitched, or revered, or have drawn threads, they pay a duty of ten per centum ad valorem in addition to the duty inbefore prescribed, and in no case less than fifty-five per centu valorem; if such handkerchiefs or mufflers are embroidered in manner, whether with an initial letter, monogram, or otherwise hand or machinery, or are tamboured, appliqued, or trimmed whol in part with lace or with tucking or insertion, they shall not pay a rate of duty than sixty per centum ad valorem.

313. Cotton cloth in which other than the ordinary warp and ing threads have been introduced in the process of weaving to for figure, whether known as lappets or otherwise, and whether unbleac bleached, dyed, colored, stained, painted, or printed, shall pay, in tion to the duty herein provided for other cotton cloth of the description, or condition, weight, and count of threads to the so inch, one cent per square yard if valued at not more than seven per square yard, and two cents per square yard if valued at more seven cents per square yard.

314. Clothing, ready-made, and articles of wearing apparel of e description, including neck-ties or neckwear composed of cotto other vegetable fiber, or of which cotton or other vegetable fiber i component material of chief value, made up or manufactured, wh or in part, by the tailor, seamstress, or manufacturer, and not o wise provided for in this Act, fifty per centum ad valorem: Prov That any outside garment provided for in this paragraph having in rubber as a component material shall pay a duty of fifteen cents pound and fifty per centum ad valorem.

315. Plushes, velvets, velveteens, corduroys, and all pile fabrics or uncut; any of the foregoing composed of cotton or other vege fiber, not bleached, dyed, colored, stained, painted, or printed, cents per square yard and twenty-five per centum ad valoren bleached, dyed, colored, stained, painted, or printed, twelve cents square yard and twenty-five per centum ad valorem: Provided, corduroys composed of cotton or other vegetable fiber, weighing s ounces or over per square yard, shall pay a duty of eighteen cent square yard and twenty-five per centum ad valorem: Provided fur That manufactures or articles in any form including such as are monly known as bias dress facings or skirt bindings, made or cut plushes, velvets, velveteens, corduroys, or other pile fabrics comp of cotton or other vegetable fiber, shall be subject to the foregoing of duty and in addition thereto ten per centum ad valorem: Pro further, That none of the articles or fabrics provided for in this graph shall pay a less rate of duty than forty-seven and one-hal centum ad valorem.

316. Curtains, table covers, and all articles manufactured of co chenille or of which cotton chenille is the component material of value, fifty per centum ad valorem.

320. Bandings, beltings, bindings, bone casings, cords, garters, ing for bicycle tires, ribbons, suspenders and braces, tapes, tubing, webs or webbing, any of the foregoing articles made of cotton or ot vegetable fiber, whether composed in part of india-rubber or otherwi and not embroidered by hand or machinery, forty-five per centum valorem; spindle banding, woven, braided or twisted lamp, stove, candle wicking made of cotton or other vegetable fiber, ten cents pound and fifteen per centum ad valorem; loom harness or healds ma of cotton or other vegetable fiber, or of which cotton or other vegetal fiber is the component material of chief value, fifty cents per pound a twenty-five per centum ad valorem; boot, shoe, and corset lacings ma of cotton or other vegetable fiber, twenty-five cents per pound an fifteen per centum ad valorem; labels, for garments or other article composed of cotton or other vegetable fiber, fifty cents per pound an thirty per centum ad valorem.

321. Cotton table damask, forty per centum ad valorem; cotton duck thirty-five per centum ad valorem.

326. Tow of flax, twenty dollars per ton.

327. Hemp, and tow of hemp, twenty dollars per ton; hemp, hack known as "line of hemp," forty dollars per ton.

328. Single yarns made of jute, not finer than five lea or number, cent per pound and ten per centum ad valorem; if finer than five le number, thirty-five per centum ad valorem.

329. Cables and cordage, composed of istle, Tampico fiber, mar sisal grass or sunn, or a mixture of these or any of them, one cent pound; cables and cordage made of hemp, tarred or untarred, cents per pound.

330. Threads, twines, or cords, made from yarn not finer than five or number, composed of flax, hemp, or ramie, or of which these s stances or either of them is the component material of chief value, t teen cents per pound; if made from yarn finer than five lea or num three-fourths of one cent per pound additional for each lea or num or part of a lea or number, in excess of five.

331. Single yarns in the gray, made of flax, hemp, or ramie, mixture of any of them, not finer than eight lea or number, seven ce per pound; finer than eight lea or number and not finer than eighty or number, forty per centum ad valorem; single yarns, made of f hemp, or ramie, or a mixture of any of them, finer than eighty lea or n ber, fifteen per centum ad valorem.

332. Flax gill netting, nets, webs, and seines shall pay the same d per pound as is imposed in this schedule upon the thread, twine cord of which they are made, and in addition thereto twenty-five centum ad valorem.

333. Floor mattings, plain, fancy or figured, manufactured from str round or split, or other vegetable substances not otherwise provided including what are commonly known as Chinese, Japanese, and In straw mattings, valued at not exceeding ten cents per square ya three cents per square yard; valued at exceeding ten cents per squ yard, seven cents per square yard and twenty-five per centum valorem.

334. Carpets, carpeting, mats and rugs made of flax, hemp, jute other vegetable fiber (except cotton), valued at not exceeding fift cents per square yard, five cents per square yard and thirty-five centum ad valorem; valued above fifteen cents per square yard, ten ce per square yard and thirty-five per centum ad valorem.

335. Hydraulic hose, made in whole or in part of flax, hemp, ran or jute, twenty cents per pound.

336. Tapes composed wholly or in part of flax, woven with or with metal threads, on reels, spools, or otherwise, and designed expres for use in the manufacture of measuring tapes, forty per centum valorem.

337. Oilcloth for floors, stamped, painted, or printed, including li leum or corticene, figured or plain, and all other oilcloth (except oilcloth) under twelve feet in width not specially provided for here eight cents per square yard and fifteen per centum ad valorem; Pub. No. 11
