Mr. Loveland moved that the vote by which Senate bill No. 92 was lost, be reconsidered, which motion was agreed to.

Mr. Andrews moved that the bill be committed to a select committee of three, which was agreed to.

The Speaker appointed Messrs. Andrews, Langdon and Rodgers the committee to which Senate bill No. 92 was referred.

H. B. No. 196; To authorize the commissioners of counties to loan certain moneys, was read a third time.

Mr. Hatcher moved that the bill be referred to a select committee of one with instructions to amend the bill as follows:

1st. Strike out of the 15th line "on demand."

2d. Strike out all after "exceeding," in both lines, and insert ten per cent. and not less than seven per cent. per annum, which motion was agreed to, when Mr. Hatcher was appointed said committee.

On motion of Mr. Smith of Franklin,

The committee was further instructed to amend the bill so as to make it applicable to townships.

S. B. No 130; To amend the act to require mortgages on bills of sale of personal property to be deposited with township clerks, passed Feb. 24, 1856, was read a third time and passed-yeas 77, nays 3.

The Senate has passed the enclosed joint resolution relative to contributions by members of the legislature to alleviate the sufferings for want of fuel and food in Cincinnati, in which the concurrence of the House is requested.

Mr. Patterson moved that the resolution be so amended as to include the officers, which motion was lost.

H. B. No. 205; Making appropriations in part for the year 1857, was taken from the table, when Mr. Littler moved that the bill be re-committed to the committee on Finance with instructions to strike out the third amendment reported yesterday, which motion was agreed to.

Mr. Smith of Knox, from the committee on Finance reported back House bill No. 205, amended according to the instructions of the House, when the bill was ordered to be engrossed at the clerk's desk and read a third time now.

H. B. No. 205 was then read a third time and passed--yeas 72, nays none.

The Speaker laid before the House a communication from the Board of Public Works, in reply to a resolution of this House, relative to the Lancaster side cut, which, on motion of Mr. Parsons, was referred to the committee on Finance.

Mr. Parsons, from the committee on Finance, reported back Senate bill No. 18; To repeal the first twelve sections of an act therein named, with one amendment, insert, after the word that, in the second line of the bill, "all after the enacting clause."

The amendment was agreed to, when the bill was ordered to be engrossed.

Mr. Bell, from the select committee, to whom was referred House bill No. 31, with sundry amendments, when the bill was laid on the table, that the amendments might be printed.

Mr. Hatcher, from the select committee, to whom was referred H. B. No. 196; To authorize county commissioners to loan certain moneys, reported the same back amended according to the instructions under which it was referred, which amendments were agreed to, when the bill passed-yeas 65, nays 27.
