The engrossed bill (S. 236) to incorporate the sisters of visitation of Washington, in the District of Columbia, was read a third time. Resolved, That this bill pass, and that the title thereof be as aforesaid. Ordered, That the Secretary request the concurrence of the House of Representatives in this bill.

The Senate proceeded to consider the resolution submitted by Mr. Underwood the 14th May, to amend the thirtieth rule of the Senate; and having been amended to read as follows:

The President pro tempore laid before the Senate a report of the Secretary of the Navy, made in compliance with a resolution of the Senate, in relation to the printing, binding and advertising executed for, or by order of that department; which was read.
