Ordered, That the Clerk return said bill to the Assembly, with a messsage that the Senate have concurred in the passage of the same.

The Assembly bill (No. 2339) entitled "An act to amend section 89 of the Code of Civil Procedure, relative to the appointment of special deputies by county clerks in certain counties, and the fixing of the salaries of the same" (Rec. No. 700), was read the third time. The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to the final passage of said bill, the same having been printed and upon the desks of the members in its final form for three calendar legislative days, and it was decided in the affirmative, a majority of all the Senators elected voting in favor thereof, and three-fifths being present, as follows:

Ordered, That the Clerk return said bill to the Assembly, with a message that the Senate have concurred in the passage of the same. Mr. Higgins offered the following:

Resolved, That a respectful message be sent to the Assembly, requesting the return to the Senate of Assembly bill No. 1772, entitled "An act to amend the Poor Law, relating to proceedings to compel the support of poor persons" (Rec. No. 680), for the purpose of amendment.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said resolution, and it was decided in the affirmative.

Ordered, That the Clerk deliver said resolution to the Assembly and request their concurrence therein.

The Assembly returned the above resolution, with a message that they have non-concurred in the passage of the same.
