On motion of Mr. Chahoon, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended, and said bill ordered to a third reading, and referred to the committee on the judiciary, retaining its place on the order of third reading.

"An act to authorize the board of estimate and apportionment of the city of New York to provide for the payment of the services rendered to the said city after annexation by the volunteer firemen of that portion of Westchester county annexed to the city of New York by chapter 934 of the Laws of 1895" (No. 342, Rec. No. 656), which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Graney, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended, and said bill ordered to a third reading, and referred to the committee on affairs of cities, retaining its place on the order of third reading.

"An act making East Utica street, West Utica street and Massachusetts street, in the city of Buffalo, park approaches " No. 1842, Rec. No. 657), which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on affairs of cities.

"An act to amend chapter 237 of the Laws of 1872, entitled 'An act revising, amending and consolidating the charter of, and the several acts relating to the village of Geneseo, in the county of Livingston, modifying the powers of the corporation, and the duties of its officers,' and the acts amendatory thereof and supplemental thereto " (No. 2278, Rec. No. 658), which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on affairs of villages.

"An act to amend the Domestic Commerce Law, relating to statements by commission merchants of sales of agricultural products" (No. 210, Rec. No. 659), which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on agriculture.

"An act to lay out and establish a public park in the Twentieth ward of the borough of Manhattan of the city of New York, to be known as Hamilton park, and for the improvement thereof " (No.

On motion of Mr. Munzinger, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended, and said bill ordered to a third reading, and referred to the committee on affairs of cities, retaining its place on the order of third reading.

An act to amend subdivision one of section 1367 of chapter 378 of the Laws of 1897, entitled 'An act to unite into one municipality under the corporate name of the city of New York, the various communities lying in and about New York harbor, including the city and county of New York, the city of Brooklyn and the county of Kings, the county of Richmond, and part of the county of Queens, and to provide for the government thereof,' relative to appeals in the municipal courts of the city of New York "(No. 2317, Rec. No. 661), which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Foley, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended, and said bill ordered to a third reading and referred to the committee on affairs of cities, retaining its place on the order of third reading.

"An act to authorize the selection, location and appropriation of certain lands in the town of Dix, in the county of Schuyler, for a State park or reservation, and to preserve the scenery of what is known as the 'Watkins Glen,' and to make it a place of public resort and pleasure" (No. 2117, Rec. No. 662), which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Willis, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended, and said bill ordered to a third reading and referred to the committee on finance, retaining its place on the order of third reading.

"An act making an appropriation for repairs to be made to the monument on the Oriskany battlefield and to the Steuben monument, both in the county of Oneida" (No. 2346, Rec. No. 663), which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Coggeshall, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended, and said bill ordered to a third reading and referred to the committee on finance, retainings its place on the order of third reading.

"An act to amend the Railroad Law, relative to certificates of public convenience and necessity" (No. 2283, Rec. No. 664), which was read the first time, and by uñanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on railroads.

"An act empowering the board of water commissioners of the village of Peekskill to issue additional bonds for the purpose of extending the water mains of said village" (No. 2366, Rec. No. 665), which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Graney, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended and said bill ordered to a third reading.

"An act authorizing the construction of an iron bridge and abutments and approaches thereto over the Erie canal in the town of Camillus at the point where the new highway extending from Milton avenue to the Belle Isle road crosses said canal, and making an appropriation therefor" (No. 2351, Rec. No. 666), which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. White, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended, and said bill ordered to a third reading and referred to the committee on finance, retaining its place on the order of third reading.

"An act to amend chapter 179 of the general laws of 1898, entitled 'An act in relation to enrollment for political parties, primary elections, conventions, and political committees,' relative to the enrollment for and holding of primary elections" (No. 2332, Rec. No. 667), which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. G. A. Davis, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended, and said bill ordered to a third reading and referred to the committee on the judiciary, retaining its place on the order of third reading.

"An act authorizing the canal board to terminate contracts made by the State of New York for the improvement of the Erie canal, Champlain canal and Oswego canal, and permitting return and payment to the contractors of the moneys deposited and earned by them under their contracts with the State of New York" (No. 2347, Rec. No. 668), which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Higgins, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended, and said bill ordered to a third reading and referred to the committee on finance, retaining its place on the order of third reading.

"An act to amend chapter 64 of the Laws of 1898, entitled 'An act to authorize the board of supervisors of the county of Onondaga to dispose of the property occupied by the Onondaga county penitentiary, and to provide for the erection of a new penitentiary or county jail,' relative to the powers of said board ” (No. 2354, Rec. No. 669), which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

Mr. White moved that said bill be substituted for Senate bill No. 1419, Int. No. 1002, of the same title, now on the order of third reading.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

The bill (No. 1220) entitled "An act to incorporate the American Bond and Mortgage Guaranty Company" (Int. No. 760), was read the third time.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to the final passage of said bill, the same having been printed and upon the desks of the members in its final form for three calendar legislative days, and it was decided in the affirmative, a majority of all the Senators elected voting in favor thereof, and three-fifths being present, as follows:

No. 577), was read the third time.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to the final passage of said bill, the same having been printed and upon the desks of the members in its final form for three calendar legislative days, and it was decided in the affirmative, a majority of all the Senators elected voting in favor thereof, and three-fifths being present, as follows:
