It does not appear that the long drought has had any bad effect upon the Wheats, but the Barley and Oat plants have suffered very materially, both from the land working bad when sown, and for want of rain afterwards; and unless showers should immediately succeed, these two species of grain cannot, in all probability be more than half a crop.
