On motion of Mr. Perry, The vote by which House bills Nos. 88 and 1393 were passed, and also the vote by which said bills were ordered to a third reading, was reconsidered, and the said bills Ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. On motion of Mr. Dinsmoor, The rules were suspended for the purpose of taking up Senate bills on third reading. On motion of Mr. Taylor, House bill, No. 579, for "An act to authorize the Chicago City Railway Company to use dummy engines outside of the city of Chi cago," Was taken up, read a first time, and Ordered to a second reading. On motion of Mr. Taylor, The rule was dispensed with, the bill read a second time, and A message from the Senate, by Mr. Paddock: Mr. Speaker: I am directed to inform the House of Representa tives that the Senate has concurred with them in the passage of a substitute for Senate bill of the following title, to-wit 140431 |
