rubino, e dicano al popolo: Egli è risuscitato da' morti; onde l' ultimo inganno sia peggiore del primo. 65 Ma Pilato disse loro: Voi avete la guardia; andate, assicuratelo come l' intendete.

66 Essi adunque, andati, assicurarono il sepolcro, suggellando la pietra, oltre la guardia.

✓ CAPO 28.

RA, finita la settimana, quanprimo giorno della settimana cominciava a schiarire, Maria Maddalena, e l' altra Maria, vennero a vedere il sepolcro.

2 Ed ecco, si fece un gran tremoto, perciocchè un angelo del Signore, sceso dal cielo, venne, e rotold la pietra dall'apertura del sepolcro, e si pose a seder sopra essa.

3 E il suo aspetto era come un folgore, e il suo vestimento era bianco come neve.

4 E, per timor d' esso, le guardie tremarono, e divennero come morti.

5 Ma l'angelo fece motto alle donne, e disse loro: Voi, non temiate; perciocchè io so che cercate Gesù, il quale è stato crocifisso.

6 Egli non è qui, perciocchè egli è risuscitato, come egli avea detto; venite, vedete il luogo dove il Signore giaceva;

7 E andate prestamente, e dite a' suoi discepoli ch' egli è risuscitato da' morti; ed ecco, egli va innanzi a voi in Galilea; quivi lo vedrete; ecco, io ve l'ho detto.

8 Esse adunque uscirono prestamente del monumento, con ispavento, ed allegrezza grande; e corsero a rapportar la cosa a' discepoli

di esso.

9 Ed ecco, Gesù venne loro incontro, dicendo: Ben vi sia. Ed esse, accostatesi, gli presero i piedi, e l'adorarono.

10 Allora Gesù disse loro: Non temiate; andate, rapportate a' miei fratelli, che vadano in Galilea, e che quivi mi vedranno.

11 Ê, mentre esse andavano, ecco, alcuni della guardia vennero nella

5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

11 ¶ Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came

3 Vi è una voce d' uno che grida nel deserto: Acconciate la via del Signore, addirizzate i suoi sentieri. 4 Giovanni battezzava nel deserto, e predicava il battesimo della penitenza, in remission de' peccati.

5 E tutto il paese della Giudea, e que' di Gerusalemme, uscivano a lui, ed eran tutti battezzati da lui nel fiume Giordano, confessando i lor peccati.

6 Or Giovanni era vestito di pel di cammello, avea una cintura di cuoio intorno a' lombi, e mangiava locuste, e mele salvatico;

7 E predicava, dicendo: Dietro a me vien colui ch'è più forte di me, di cui io non son degno, chinandomi, di sciogliere il correggiuol delle scarpe.

8 Io vi ho battezzati con acqua, ma esso vi battezzerà con lo Spirito Santo.

9 E avvenne in que' giorni, che Gesù venne di Nazaret di Galilea, e fu battezzato da Giovanni, nel Giordano.

10 E subito, come egli saliva fuor dell' acqua, vide fendersi i cieli, e lo Spirito scendere sopra esso, in somiglianza di colomba.

11 È venne una voce dal cielo, dicendo: Tu sei il mio diletto Figliuolo, nel quale io ho preso il mio compiacimento.

12 E, tosto appresso, lo Spirito lo sospinse nel deserto.

13 E fu quivi nel deserto quaranta giorni, tentato da Satana; e stava con le fiere, e gli angeli gli mini

3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. 4 John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

5 And there went out unto him all the land of Judea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.

6 And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;

7 And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.

8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.

9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.

10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:

11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

12 And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness. 13 And he was there in the wilderness forty days tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.

14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

16 Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

17 And Jesus said unto them,

18 Ed essi, lasciate prestamente le lor reti, lo seguitarono.

19 Poi, passando un poco più oltre di là, vide Giacomo di Zebedeo, e Giovanni, suo fratello, i quali racconciavan le lor reti nella navicella;

20 E subito li chiamò; ed essi, lasciato Zebedeo lor padre, nella navicella, con gli operai, se ne andarono dietro a lui.

21 Ed entrarono in Capernaum, e subito, in giorno di sabato, egli entrò nella sinagoga, e insegnava.

22 E gli uomini stupivano della sua dottrina, perciocchè egli gli ammaestrava come avendo autorità, e non come gli scribi.

23 Ora, nella lor sinagoga vi era un uomo posseduto da uno spirito immondo, il qual diede un grido, 24 Dicendo: Ahi! che vi è fra te e noi, o Gesù Nazareno ? sei tu venuto per mandarci in perdizione? io so chi tu sei; il santo di Dio.

25 Ma Gesù lo sgridò, dicendo: Ammutolisci, ed esci fuori di lui.

26 E lo spirito immondo, straziatolo, e gridando con gran voce, uscì fuori di lui.

27 E tutti sbigottirono, talchè domandavan fra loro: Che cosa è questa? quale è questa nuova dottrina? conciossiachè egli con autorità comandi eziandio agli spiriti immondi, ed essi gli ubbidiscano.

28 E la sua fama andò subito per tutta la contrada circonvicina della Galilea.

29 Etosto appresso, essendo usciti della sinagoga, vennero, con Giacomo e Giovanni, in casa di Simone e di Andrea.

30 Or la suocera di Simone giaceva in letto, con la febbre; ed essi subito gliene parlarono.

31 Ed egli, accostatosi, la prese per la mano, e la sollevò; e subito

Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. 18 And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him.

19 And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.

20 And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.

21 And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.

22 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.

23 And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

24 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.

26 And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.

27 And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

28 And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee.

29 And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

30 But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever; and anon they tell him of her.

31 And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and

32 Poi, fattosi sera, quando il sole andava sotto, gli menarono tutti coloro che stavan male, e gl' indemoniati.

33 E tutta la città era raunata all'uscio.

34 Ed egli ne guarì molti che stavan male di diverse malattie, e cacciò molti demoni; e non permetteva a' demoni di parlare, perciocchè sapevano chi egli era.

35 Poi, la mattina, essendo ancor molto buio, Gesù si levò, e se ne andò in luogo deserto, e quivi

orava,

36 E Simone, e gli altri ch' eran con lui, gli andarono dietro.

37 E, trovatolo, gli dissero: Tutti ti cercano.

38 Ed egli disse loro: Andiamo alle castella vicine, acciocchè io predichi ancora là; conciossiachè per ciò io sia uscito.

39 Ed egli andava predicando nelle lor sinagoghe, per tutta la Galilea, e cacciando i demoni.

40 E un lebbroso venne a lui, pregandolo, e inginocchiandosi davanti a lui, e dicendogli: Se tu vuoi, tu puoi mondarmi.

41 E Gesù, mosso a pietà, distese la mano, e lo toccò, e gli disse: Sì, io lo voglio, sii mondato.

42 E, come egli ebbe detto questo, subito la lebbra si partì da lui, e fu mondato.

43 E Gesù, avendogli fatti severi divieti, lo mandò prestamente via, 44 E gli disse: Guarda che tu nol dica ad alcuno; anzi va, mostrati al sacerdote, e offerisci per la tua purificazione le cose che Mosè ha ordinate, in testimonianza a loro.

45 Ma egli, essendo uscito, cominciò a predicare, e a divolgar grandemente la cosa, talchè Gesù non poteva più palesemente entrar nella città; anzi se ne stava di fuori in luoghi deserti, e d'ogni luogo si veniva a lui.

32 And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.

33 And all the city was gathered together at the door.

34 And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.

35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

36 And Simon and they that were with him followed after him.

37 And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee.

38 And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.

39 And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.

40 And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.

42 And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

43 And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away; 44 And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

45 But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.
