I THAT Man is bleft who ftands in Awe His Juftice, free from all Decay, As well as juft to all Mankind. To fome he gives, to others lends : Yet Yet what his Charity impairs, I YE E Saints and Servants of the Lord, The Triumphs of his Name record; His facred Name for ever blefs: Where'er the circling Sun difplays His rifing Beams, or fetting Rays, Due Praife to his great Name addrefs. 2 God thro' the World extends his Sway; The Regions of eternal Day 3 But Shadows of his Glory are. Who made the Heav'n in which he dwells, Tho' 'tis beneath his State to view In higheft Heav'n that Angels do, Yet he to Earth vouchfafes his Care : To refcue their expiring Name: O then extol his matchlefs Fame! PSALM PSALM CXVII. WITH cheerful Notes let all the Earth to Heav'n their Voices raife; Let ali, infpir'd with godly Mirth, fing folemn Hymns of Praise. 2 God's tender Mercy knows no Bound, his Truth fhall ne'er decay: Then let the willing Nations round, their grateful Tribute pay. Praise the Lord, for he is good, That his kind Favours ever laft, 2 Then open wide the Temple Gates 3 Within thofe Gates of God's Abode Since thou hast heard, and fet me fafe, thy holy Name I'll bless. 4 That which the Builders once refus'd, is now the Corner-Stone; This is the wond'rous Work of God, the Work of God alone. 5 This Day is God's; let all the Land exalt their cheerful Voice: Lord, we beseech thee, fave us now, and make us ftill rejoice, PSALM PSALM CXIX. 1 HOW bleft are they who always keep the pure and perfect Way! Who never from the facred Paths of God's Commandments ftray! 2 Thrice bleft who to his righteous Laws have still obedient been! 3 And have with fervent humble Zeal Such Men their utmost Caution use And all our Diligence employ 5 O then that thy moft holy Will 6 Then with Affurance fhould I walk, from all Confufion free; Convinc'd, with Joy, that all my Ways with thy Commands agree. P. 2. 1 INSTRUCT me in thy Statutes, Lord, thy righteous Paths difplay; And I from them thro' all my Life, 2 If thou true Wisdom from above 4 Do thou to thy moft juft Commands They with freth Wonders entertain my ravish'd Thoughts all Day. 2 Through thy Commands I wifer grow than all my fubtle Foes; For thy fure Word does me direct, and all my Ways difpofe. 3 From me my former Teachers now may abler Counsel take; Because thy facred Precepts I my conftant Study make. 4 In Understanding I excel the Sages of our Days; Because by thy unerring Rules I order all my Ways. 5 My Feet with Care I have refrain'd from ev'ry finful Way, |
