PROPOSITION TO INCUR A BONDED DEBT OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AND OTHER PROPOSITIONS VOTED UPON AT A SPECIAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ON THURSDAY, THE 12TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, A. D. 1908.

PROPOSITION ONE

To authorize the City and County of San Francisco to acquire by purchase or condemnation a public utility, viz: A Water Supply and Works to be owned and controlled by said City and County, to furnish to said City and County and to the inhabitants thereof, a sufficient supply of good, pure water for all purposes, the source of such supply to be Lake Eleanor, the Hetch Hetchy Valley and the waters of the Tuolumne river in Tuolumne county, California.

To incur a bonded indebtedness by the City and County of San Francisco, to the amount of six hundred thousand ($600,000) dollars for the purchase of lands, rights and claims in and adjacent to the Hetch Hetchy Valley, adjacent and near Lake Eleanor and within the watershed of the Tuolumne river, and in constructing certain works, all of which are necessary in order to comply with the conditions and stipulations agreed to by the City and County in the acquiring of certain rights and privileges heretofore granted by the Interior Department or hereafter to be granted by the Congress of the United States. Bonds issued for such purpose shall bear interest at the rate of 42 per centum per annum, payable semi-annually.

PROPOSITION THREE

To acquire by purchase the property of the County Line Water Company, used in supplying a portion of the City and County with water, at a cost not to exceed Forty Thousand ($40,000) Dollars, the same to be paid for out of the annual revenue of the City and County.
