REPORT OF THE COMMISSION DIVISION 4, COMMISSIONERS MEYER, EASTMAN, AND POTTER BY DIVISION 4: The Central of Georgia Railway Company, a common carrier by railroad engaged in interstate commerce, has duly applied for authority under section 20a of the interstate commerce act to withdraw deposited cash in the sum of $214,000 from the trustee under its refunding and general mortgage. No objection to the granting of the application has been presented to us. In Bonds of Central of Georgia Ry., 86 I. C. C. 578, we authorized (1) the issue of $214,000 of refunding and general mortgage 5 per cent bonds, series B, in respect of a like amount of cash deposited with the trustee; (2) the issue of $4,786,000 of refunding and general mortgage 51 per cent bonds, series B, for exchange for a like amount of series-A 6 per cent bonds outstanding, and (3) the sale of $5,000,000 of series-B bonds. Since filing the previous application, the applicant has expended an aggregate of $221,741.66 for additions and betterments to road and equipment and for refunding underlying bonds, and now seeks to reimburse its treasury to the extent of $214,000 by withdrawing from the trustee the cash heretofore deposited as described above. |
