Mr. Slater moved to reconsider the vote by which said bill was passed.

Line 2, inclose "Junior" in brackets; inclose "six" in brackets and insert in italics "nine".

Line 5, after "each" insert in italics "one clerk whose salary shall not exceed fifteen hundred dollars a year and one page whose salary shall not exceed four hundred and eighty dollars a year”. Page 5, line 6, strike out "July first, nineteen hundred and " and insert "immediately."

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.
