Mr. Speaker-I am directed to inform the House of Representatives that the Senate has concurred with the House in the passage of a bill of the following title.

HOUSE BILL No. 182.

A bill for "An Act to provide for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Department of Public Health, until the expiration of the first fiscal quarter after the adjournment of the next regular session of the General Assembly."

Together with the following amendments thereto, in the adoption of which amendments I am instructed to ask the concurrence of the House of

Representatives:

AMENDMENTS TO HOUSE BILL No. 182 ADOPTED BY THE SENATE APRIL 29 AND MAY 5, 1925.

AMENDMENT No. 1.

Amend printed House Bill No. 182 in Senate, on page 6, in section 1, by striking out all of lines 128 and 129 and inserting in lieu thereof the following: "Inspectors

$38,200;

for the biennium. Salaries to be paid inspectors shall be $1800 for the first year of service. If the inspector has served or hereafter serves more than one year, $100 shall be added to his salary for each year of service until a maximum salary of $3000 is reached. This provision shall not operate to reduce the salary rate of any inspector. now employed."

AMENDMENT No. 2.

Amend printed House Bill No. 182 in Senate, on page 6, in section 1, line 125, by striking out the figures "$39,600.00" and inserting in lieu thereof the figures "$45,400.00."

AMENDMENT No. 3.

Amend House Bill No. 182 in the Senate, on page 4, line 69, by substituting for the figures "$1620" before the words "per annum" the figures "$1800."

AMENDMENT No. 4.

Amend on page 4, line 71, by substituting for the figures "5760," before the words "per annum," the figures "5580."

AMENDMENT No. 5.

Amend on page 2, line 17, to read "$1,500.00 per annum" instead of "$1,320."

AMENDMENT No. 6.

Strike out of line 26, page 2, "$100,000" and insert in place thereof "$50,000."

AMENDMENT No. 7.

Strike out in line 117, page 5, section 1, the figures "$130,000" and insert in lieu thereof the figures "$110,000."

AMENDMENT No. 8.

Amend by striking out on page 6, line 114, the figures "$1,155,077" and insert in lieu thereof the figures "$1,041,237." On page 1, line 6, strike out "$624,400 and insert "$524,760."

A bill for "An Act to amend sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 28, 32, 33, 34, 36, 40, 49, 50, 51 and 52 of "The Civil Administrative Code of Illinois,' approved March 7, 1917, as amended, and to add sections 50a, 51a and 63a thereto."

I am further instructed to inform the House of Representatives that the President of the Senate has appointed as such committee on the part of the Senate Messrs. Meents, Essington and Duvall.
